Sweeny ISD Child Nutrition Announcement:

For the 2022-2023 school year, Sweeny ISD Child Nutrition will require households to complete a “Free and Reduced” meal application to meet USDA, Federal, and State government requirements. During the pandemic, Sweeny ISD, alongside many others, was able to provide meals at no cost to all students due to a temporary program provided by the federal government. We are sad to report the program has ended.

School Café allows parents and families to apply for free/reduced meals, add funds to their students' account, and view up-to-

date menus. You will need your students' ID number to create a account. This fall, 'Back 2 School' will also mean 'Back to Student Meal Rates' for nutritious school meals. Click the green School Café button to apply online for Free and Reduced Meal Prices.

School Meal Prices 2023-2024

Secondary Meal Prices:
  • Breakfast $1.50
  • Lunch $2.95
Elementary Meal Prices:
  • All students Sweeny Elementary will receive free meals for breakfast and lunch for the 2023-2024 school year, thanks to the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

We encourage families that believe they qualify to complete the application in-person or online to become eligible for “Free and Reduced” meal prices for the 2023-2024 school year. Students who are not eligible must pay the total cost for meals. Sweeny ISD Child Nutrition Department is available and able to provide more information on the “Free and Reduced” meal applications. Paper applications will be available in both English and Spanish in August on all campuses.
